Our Philosophy: It's all about Surfing, Safety, Fun!

Under the VCSS philosophy and tutelage the student can expect more than just learning how to paddle into a wave and stand up, although the VC Guarantee promises that all students will stand up and ride a wave during their very first lesson.

It also means that they will explore a new found world that teaches safety, respect, and an appreciation for the ocean and its power and beauty. It provides instruction in lineup etiquette amidst a growing surfing population and most importantly rewards students with a sense of achievement and fun that comes from surfing’s distinctive lifestyle.

In essence, Van wants to share the “stoke,” joy and enthusiasm with his local community from the beginner surfer and beyond. His vision is to also work with and support the businesses within the Central Coast surf industry to create a unique cooperative.
